Life Hack: My jar of wonder

If you're looking to simplify your daily routine, coconut oil is your solution! Coconut oil is a jar of wonder that's packed with nutrients! It's uses expand beyond just cooking. Don't believe me yet? Keep on reading!



Skincare:

At the end of the day, I use about a tablespoon of organic coconut oil to remove my makeup. On the outside, coconut oil may not look like much, but it takes away the toughest waterproof makeup without the harsh chemicals! Plus, the nutrients in coconut oil will keep your face moisturized while nourishing your eyelashes to help their growth! I keep mine in a small container for bathroom convenience.


Next time you find yourself reaching for the makeup remover, skip the harsh rubbing and chemicals and grab some organic coconut oil instead! Oh the simplicity!



Cooking:

Not only does coconut oil have makeup-removing benefits, it is also great for dietary needs and everyday benefits! If you usually shy away from the kitchen--don't worry! Cooking with coconut oil is SO simple, yet delicious!


Coconut oil is a great substitute for butter. Not only is it rich in proteins and nutrients, it also provides helpful life hacks! Green leafy salads are great source of nutrients, but there's only so many salads a person can eat! I get it! The next time you find yourself pessimistically trying to piece together a salad, try chopping up some Kale and pan tossing it in some coconut oil!


Instructions:

  • Turn the stove to medium heat

  • Chop up any vegetable(s) of your choice

  • Put about a tablespoon of coconut oil (per serving) in the pan

  • Throw vegetables in the pan

  • Saute until the leaves are a bit darker (about 3-4 minutes)

  • Add salt to taste. I prefer a sprinkle of sea salt!

  • Enjoy the simplicity!

Why coconut oil?

You can use coconut oil to cook other foods, but I prefer to stick with veggies because of the low-calorie benefits and coconut oil enhances the natural flavors of the vegetables! Try it out and I bet you won't be reaching for that butter anymore!
